Discover the one & only Juliet Club and get ready to become a Juliet Secretary!

You’ll discover the one and only Juliet Club, a cozy space in the heart of Verona where everyday Juliet Secretaries work. Here you will be told more about the story of Romeo and Juliet and how the tradition of the letters to Juliet started. After a visit to the archive – there are more than 200,000 archived letters there and they receive new ones every day! – you’ll be ready to become a Juliet Secretary.

According to your native language, you will be given a couple of letters addressed to Juliet.

You will open them and read them discovering love stories from every corner of the world.

Then we will have a tea together and we will discuss whom and what to answer.

Now it’s your turn to write a letter! Signed and sealed, the letters are ready to be delivered.

At the end of the Experience you will receive your official Juliet Secretary Certificate.
Other things to note, Juliet Club receives letters from all over the world written in dozens of different languages. The volunteers will try to give you at least 1 letter in your native language but this is not always possible, in particular when it comes to less spoken languages.

The Juliet Club has been handling Juliet’s mail for many years; this unique phenomenon has made Verona the world-wide known “town of love”. Addressed to “Juliet, Verona” thousands of letters arrive from all over the world and our team of volunteers replies to each and every one of them in the name of the most famous heroine in literature keeping alive this extraordinary epistolary tradition.
